    Responses

Q. What does the cable do?

A.  It converts RS232C or decoded TTL serial data into keyboard data so that a serial interface device can be connected to the PC via the keyboard port.

Q. What is the default protocol setting?

A.  The default setting is 9600 baud, no parity, 8 data bits and 1 stop bit.

Q. The cable has an additional power input. What is it for and how do I use it?

A. The 5V power input is for supplying power via the DB25 connector to the RS232C device when necessary. Ground comes out at pin 7 and +5V comes out at pin 16.
