Logic Controls LC8200 industrial computer is the perfect PC platform for a wide range of mission critical applications in retail, food service, banking, medical and a variety of other vertical markets. Its ultra compact foot print and exceptional reliability make the LC8200 an excellent choice for use in point-of-sale/service, kitchen display systems, kiosks, digital signage and other applications that demand maximum reliability in harsh or restricted operating environments. “Reliability and size are essential requirements for a wide range of mission critical applications and the primary design consideration for our LC8200” according to Jackson Lum, president of Logic Controls. ¡§The LC8200 addresses the increasing market demand for greater reliability in a rugged compact platform with full PC functionality at an affordable price point. He states.
Exceptional reliability
Unlike standard PCs or alternative PC platforms, the LC8200 features a fanless design that prevents damage to internal components caused by dust, dirt and other external contaminants that result in system failures. The LC8200 has a die cast metal housing without any ventilation slots that act as heat sink and includes a patented innovative cooling technology to optimize heat dissipation to reduce the risk of failure due to internal heat build-up. A special coating is also applied for added protection against failures in environments with high humidity and excessive condensation. The LC8200 can be configured as a diskless station with compact flash (without hard drive) for true operation without any moving parts, internal wires or a hard drive.
Size Does Matter
The LC8200s compact size (6″ W x 8″ D x 2″ H) and flexible mounting options are ideal for point-of-sale/service, kitchen display systems, kiosks, digital signage and other applications where space is limited or restricted. LC8200 includes mounting tabs which easily allow the unit to be mounted under the counter, on fixtures or wall mounted vertically or horizontally in most any position to best meet application requirements and provide easy access for service.
The LC8200 supports XP PRO, XPE, WEPOS, Vista, Linux and CE and has a large compliment of I/O ports including multiple serial and USB ports to support legacy as well as new peripheral options.
