60 Day DOA:

Logic Controls Limited Warranty & DOA

LOGIC CONTROLS LIMITED WARRANTY

Logic Controls- branded hardware products purchased in the U.S. or Canada may come with a 60-day DOA, a 1-3 year warranty, or other limited hardware warranty. Logic Controls may offer different delivery methods for warranty service, including but not limited to parts and product dispatches. Renewals and extensions of your limited hardware warranty may also be available after you purchase your product(s). To determine the warranty that came with your hardware product(s), or the warranty renewal or extension that you purchased, you may need to speak to your local dealer, reseller or salesperson.

DOA 

Products In this category include those whose failure originates in a time period less than 60 days from the time of purchase from the distributor according to the invoice issued for them. It must be noted that the failure should and cannot be caused by misuse or abuse of the product. In this event Logic Controls will replace the entire unit free of charge and will be sent to the original point of entry (Distributor). The defective unit must be returned to Logic Controls. We also offer the alternative of direct shipment to the final destination of the unit, if program of additional warranty coverage has been purchased. This program must be purchased at the time of purchase of the unit and will be confirmed through the proper presentation of the invoice (LOGIC CONTROLS – DISTRIBUTOR).

Missing  Parts 

This category is for those products that the customer does not receive an essential part for the unit’s operation, for example cash drawers’ keys, power cables for monitors and / or printers, USB cable for printers, monitors, cash drawers, audio cables for monitors, adapters for electric power supply all in one unit, and computers. Items that are missing must be reported in 5 days from the time of purchase. It is important to highlight that the power adapter’s rule is valid for those countries without restrictions sending this component, otherwise disclaims cases in which the customer has expressed a desire to receive such party. Under this circumstance, the missing component is sent to the original port of shipment of the product.

Products covered under this category are those which usage and installation have been
appropriate and yet have stopped working after 60 days of distributor purchase. In this
category failures may have arisen simply because of use or unintentional malfunction. To fix
this issue the product must be repaired by Logic Controls Support.

If the product is in any of the 50 U.S. states (contact 516-248-0400 or email
support@logiccontrols.com), If the product is out of these 50 states the product must be
repaired by an authorized Logic Controls service provider. Shipping will depend on the terms
of your unit’s purchase.

FOR COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS (INCLUDING SMALL, MEDIUM AND LARGE BUSINESS AND
GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC SECTOR CUSTOMERS) AND RESELLERS. This paragraph applies if
you purchase Logic Controls products for resale or for commercial or professional purposes.
LOGIC CONTROLS RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEFECTS IN MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP IS
LIMITED TO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT AS SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY
STATEMENT. EXCEPT FOR THE LIMITED WARRANTY EXPRESSLY STATED ABOVE FOR LOGIC
CONTROLS-BRANDED PRODUCTS, LOGIC CONTROLS PROVIDES NO WARRANTIES OR
CONDITIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTY OR
CONDITION (1) OF MERCHANTABILITY, MERCHANTABLE QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE, PERFORMANCE, SUITABILITY OR NONINFRINGEMENT; (2) RELATING
TO ANY THIRD-PARTY PRODUCT OR SOFTWARE; OR (3) REGARDING THE RESULTS TO BE
OBTAINED FROM THE PRODUCT OR SOFTWARE. LOGIC CONTROLS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS
ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS NOT STATED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. THIS LIMITED
HARDWARE WARRANTY MAY BE VOIDED BY LOGIC CONTROLS, AT LOGIC CONTROLS’ SOLE
DISCRETION, IF THIRD PARTY PRODUCTS THAT WERE NOT PROVIDED BY LOGIC CONTROLS
ARE INSTALLED ON YOUR LOGIC CONTROL SYSTEM.

Logic Controls cannot guarantee the authenticity of the products, limited warranties, service
or support, or the accuracy of the listings of products you purchase from a third party. In
some cases, such as with battery packs and power adapters, the use of a third-party product
may pose an increased risk of reliability or safety issues, including increased risk of fire or
explosion. This limited hardware warranty does not cover issues caused by installation or use
in a Logic Controls system of any third-party product that was not provided by Logic Controls.
For Commercial customers, this limited hardware warranty may be voided by Logic Controls,
at Logic Controls’ sole discretion, if you install or use in a Logic Controls system any third party
product that was not provided by Logic Controls.

Before contacting Logic Controls, please try one or more of the following:

  1. Ensure that you have installed any updates or resolved any issues identified by the
    monitoring, diagnostic, and proactive support tools from third parties such as Team
    Viewer/ Splashtop that are installed on your product. These tools may also be available
    for download on a third party’s website.
  2. Access https://support.logiccontrols.com/ for troubleshooting advice and directions on
    running hardware diagnostics; and
  3. Consult your Owner’s Manual.

If you need additional assistance, then, before the warranty expires, please use one of the
following support options to contact Logic Controls or our authorized representatives:

  1. Online: Online, chat and other forms of remote support may be available. Contact
    information is available at https://support.logiccontrols.com/
  2. Telephone support requests: Contact information is included in the table below. Long
    distance telephone carrier charges may apply.

Please also have your serial number ready when you are contacting Logic Controls.

What will Logic Controls do?

Upon contacting Logic Controls, you may be required to engage in a remote diagnosis
session to help determine the cause of your issue. Remote diagnosis may involve customer
access to the inside of the product and multiple or extended sessions. If Logic Controls
determines that your issue is the result of a defect in materials and the issue is not able to be
resolved remotely, Logic Controls, at its sole discretion, may dispatch a replacement part to
you, arrange for you to send your product or defective part back to Logic Controls repair
depot or replace the part or product with a comparable part or product that may be new or
refurbished.
If your limited hardware warranty has expired or if we determine that the problem is not
covered under this limited hardware warranty, we may be able to offer you service
alternatives on a fee basis.
We use new and refurbished parts made by various manufacturers in performing warranty
repairs and in building replacement parts and products. Refurbished parts and products are
parts or products that have been returned to Logic Controls, some of which were never used
by a customer. All parts and products are inspected and tested for quality. Replacement
parts and products are covered for the remaining period of the limited hardware warranty
for the product you purchased. Dell owns all parts removed from repaired products and, in
most instances, you will be required to return defective parts to Logic Controls.

For those products that are outside of the United States, the repairs will be carried out with
original parts by authorized service centers or replacements of the unit.
Warranties for products that have been purchased by distributors and sold on the
LATAM/EMEA market are subject to the same warranty terms if applicable replacement or
repair is done at one of the authorized service centers. Shipping a new unit or repair
parts is possible based on the policy.
Credit may be provided for those customers outside of states when the parts of the units are
no longer available or upon Logic Controls decision.

RMA Procedure:

RMA Procedure

The RMA submission should be done as soon the failure occurs. In cases of default factory
replacement, any case filed after a period no longer than 60 days from the date of
purchase will be considered as a case of warranty.

Warranty periods begin 60 days after the date the unit is sold to the customer by Logic
Controls or its affiliates. If the problem persists it should be reported within this period of time
to be accepted, otherwise it will be considered a new case. For cases for requests of spare
parts, they must be submitted within a period not exceeding 60 days after submission of the
problem otherwise requests cannot be fulfilled (as applied to authorized service centers).
Logic Controls reserves the right to request invoices for assurance warranty, photos of
damaged products or parts requested.
The RMA number assigned in guarantee cases does not certify that a replacement or credit is
approved, these are subject to review based on purchase time and failure rate. Units sent
without RMA number will not be accepted upon arrival.

Policy Changes Due to Global Shortages

How does Logic Controls respond to the requirement in our new society? Logic Controls will continue to provide quality customer service. New and existing partners can take advantage of our warranty based on our customer policy or current contract provided by our team.

Global shortages are preventing us from continuing to provide additional services. Our main focus is to continue to provide excellent service to our customers. While will continue to support and provide services for any products under warranty, we will have to discontinue additional services for items that are out of warranty, such as providing spare parts. Please note that any products not included on the warranty above are not included in our warranty plan.
